Who is Bex?
I’m a creative director based in Cape Town, South Africa, with 7+ years of experience across marketing, advertising, and brand design. I currently work as an Associate Creative Director, leading visual direction and execution across brand systems, campaigns, and digital experiences. For the past 3 years, I have specialised in transforming brands in the addiction rehabilitation space in USA — a space that needs and needed love and human-centred design.
My work is driven by a deep interest in sustainability, ethics, and the role design can play in shaping more conscious ways of living. I’m particularly drawn to working with companies and teams who care not just about what they make, but how and why they make it.
I studied Fine Art, where my thesis and final exhibition explored Making Visual the Cruelty in Factory Farming in South Africa. That work continues to inform how I approach creativity today — using visual storytelling, clarity, and emotion to communicate difficult ideas in a way that feels human and impactful.
I’m guided by the philosophy of Ikigai, especially when it comes to my career: aligning what I care about, what I’m good at, and what can genuinely help others. I hold a British passport from my mother’s side of the family, and hairier-than-I’d-like arms from my father’s.
At the core of everything I do is a desire to support sentient beings, encourage eco-conscious thinking, and use creativity as a tool for positive change — whether through brand strategy, visual direction, illustration, design thinking, or occasionally singing.
